Data Engineer consultant at T2C
This was my first job, so I began in a junior role and swiftly progressed to a mid-senior position. Throughout the first year, I primarily focused on a single project, which provided me with the opportunity to take on significant responsibilities. Initially, my manager handled client interactions and task assignments, but as time went on, I assumed these responsibilities myself. After less than a year, I could work autonomously, following the guidance of the client, who also served as the project manager.
Responsibilities
My main responsibility was to maintain and develop new data pipelines, data warehouse tables and views and PowerBI dashboards for an international client in the FMCG industry. The goal of the project is to monitor the usage and the cost of the technologies used by all the internal BI teams spread around the world.
- Communication with the client to collect requirements.
- Maintain legacy code and dashboards, making upgrades when needed.
Tools & Technologies
- Snowflake: this cloud data warehouse was used to store all the data consumed by the dashboards.
- PowerBI was used to build the dashboard consumed by the upper management responsible of the data and technology side.
- Informatica Cloud: The tool used to ingest, and transform the data.
